ABOUT
The Gunma Museum of Natural History (GMNH) opened on October 22, 1996. The museum is situated in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, in close proximity to the historic fossil site of Yabe's giant fallow deer (Sinomegaceros yabei), which was discovered in 1797. The permanent exhibition of the museum is organized into five main sections, guiding visitors through an intriguing journey from the inception of the Planet Earth to the evolution of life, culminating in the exploration of the biodiversity.
